Well; $250 will not get you much in the digital arena. I use film personally - if that's something you're willing to consider you should check out [link]
If not; I'd recommend trying to save money and get a used nikon d50 or the equivalent canon(digital rebel or something like that).
I don't really know anything about point and shoots though so wouldnt know what to recommend there - sorry.
thanks man! no formal training, just years of fooling around like most of us... infact i don't even own my own camera at this time, just "borrow" everyone elses... speaking of that, what do you suggest in the way of equiptment?
